Aviagen ® is a global poultry breeding company that develops pedigree lines for the production of commercial broiler chickens under the Arbor Acres®, Indian River®, and Ross® brand names. The Rowan Range® and Specialty Males® are specialty breeding stock from Aviagen that offer greater flexibility for customers to meet specific or niche market requirements.
The company is based in Huntsville, Alabama, USA with a number of wholly-owned operations across the United Kingdom, Europe, Turkey, Latin America, India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.S., and joint ventures in Asia. Aviagen employs more than 4,600 people and has a distribution network serving customers in 100 countries.
Hubbard’s colored broiler is a meat type bird that has a comparable taste if not better taste to our Philippine native chicken. These hardy birds can be readily ranged in open areas requiring minimal supervision as these can forage and source food from naturally available food sources to supplement normal feed ration. These birds are well suited to our climatic conditions with better growth rate, feed conversion, higher meat yield, and faster time to attain slaughter weight compared to our native chicken without compromising disease resistance. These chickens can grow around 1.5-1.8kg live weight in 56-60 days fed with commercial feeds.
Since 1921, Hubbard has been a worldwide reference for broiler breeding stock. The company supplies day-old grandparent and parent stock chicks all over the world in order to produce chicken meat.
Always with the goal of offering improved products to its loyal and well-recognized customers, Research & Development is the core business and the continuous investments in new available technologies have proven to be key.
Hubbard’s commitment is to offer its customers the widest range of products covering all your needs, ranging from fast-growing and cost-efficient broilers to high-value specialty (Premium) chickens.
Hubbard’s genetic programs are designed and dedicated to meet the growing challenges of the current civilization by providing efficient, healthy, and tasty chicken meat for the world’s growing population.
Similar to other breeders like Kabir and SASSO, Hubbard has its own range of colored broiler. In the Philippines, the most popular line of breeds is JA57 and JA87.
Why Raise Hubbard Chicken?
Hubbard colored chickens are not only fast-growing but also taste like native chickens. Growing colored Hubbard is like growing 45-days old broilers but not caged. This is the reason why Hubbard is always the main choice of free-range broiler growers.
Where to buy Hubbard chickens to start growing them?
There are many Hubbard breeders in Central and North Luzon as some of the biggest AgriVet supply stores sell chicks. If you are in CALABARZON, there is a known breeder in Batangas. BATANGAS FREE RANGE CHICKEN, located at Poblacion Zone II, Sta. Teresita, Batangas
